Crème Magazine: For those of us unfamiliar with the medical field, what exactly is a Radiation Oncologist and what do you do?

Janna Andrews: Radiation oncology is not a well-known specialty. Basically a radiation oncologist treats certain  types of cancer with radiation for cure or to help palliate symptoms.  We are an integral part of the oncology team and we work as a team with the medical oncologist, and the surgeons. Radiation oncology is a very research driven, evidence based field and we are constantly conducting research to further the field.
